What was I thinking?!

Lately I have been asking myself this. Getting pregnant so fast when I had twins at home. And then I remind myself that when I got pregnant my kids were fun! Not that they aren't now, it's just that they are a lot more willing to test their limits now than they have ever been. So... Here is the proof that I wish someone would have shared with me to let me know that having another baby when your twins will only be twenty months old is a dumb dumb DUMB idea. : )

Brighams ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE thing to do as of late is to find little toys that fit in his ears or his nose. This is a little plastic candle that came in a food set they got for Christmas. I ended up throwing them away because he kept shoving them in his ear. GROSS!

Grocery shopping with kids is almost worse than a jab in the eye with a sharp object sometimes. Which is why it has been so hard for me to make myself go in the last few weeks. Anyway, I like to keep my eggs in the front so they don't get smooshed by all of the other food. So last time I went I put them inbetween Brigham and Bailee. I could hear a rustling back there for about ten minutes and thought that Bailee was just playing with the bag. Then I heard the giggle. Nothing good ever, and I really mean EVER, comes from this little girl when she laughs that certain giggle. Anyway, I know you cant see it in the picture, but when I turned around to look she was holding an egg in her hand. Common sense told me to pull over, but common stupidity made me keep driving. We were, after all only five minutes from home. Well, by the time I got out to check her she had two eggs on the seat and one in each hand. Luckily, none of them were broken. : )

Brigham's favorite pass time... Tormenting the computer. If he isn't pulling the cord out of the socket then he is using the kitchen chairs or the computer chairs to climb on the desk. And if he cant get them there then he is using his little chair to reach the keyboard. It is like he has a sixth sense and a check list. The second he gets out of his room he runs around the house seeing which things mom forgot to child proof before he got up.

They also LOVE to make a mess in their high chair. When I give them a bowl they dump it. When I dont give them a bowl and just put the food on thier tray they throw the food on the floor or else fling it with their forks. When I say I will take their forks away they start hitting the wall with them as if to say "Go ahead mom, I don't care." NUGGETS!!!

And the heater vent! Oh the stinking heater vent. At first they were putting food down them. Then they were putting food and toys down them. And then one day we were at my SIL's house and they saw me drop the vent down to the basement on accident. Don't ask me how, or why it happened, I dont remember... Anyway, they game was on. They knew they could lift the vent cover up and from then on out it has been a constant battle. Until...

Just the other day, I had a brilliant idea. Paul screwed down the vent cover for me and since then they don't seem to care as much about it. Sometimes they still go over and try to pull it up and every time they do it's like I'm having a little party in my head and saying "neener neener!!" with my tongue sticking out. : ) I know its rediculous, but I have to celebrate what few battles I do win with these two. : )

They are always picking on each other. Brigham loves to lay on top of Bailee. She loves to scream about it. No matter how many times I try to tell my sweet, innocent, and never-deserving-of-a-tackle little girl that if she wouldn't scream then he wouldn't do it, she just doesn't understand. So the game continues. But it really does go both ways. She will hit him on the head, or still the toys he has, or take his blanket and then run as fast as she can in the other direction so that he cant get her. He will chase after he screaming until I decide to intervene, he is a very persistent little borther. I sometimes let her pick on him a little longer than I should because, I tell myself, she needs to get it in while she still can. : )

Okay, so I know there is so much more that I sould be able to tell you to justify this pit of over whelming despair that is creeping up on me (How will I ever do these two plus another one?!), but for now this will have to suffice becasue the monsters are up. : )
