Tayvri Jo - Warning GRAPHIC

Warning: Graphic photos...

Let's be honest... EVERYONE, including myself after it already happened, thought I was VERY VERY crazy thinking it would be good to get pregnant when I had twins that were not even one yet. I thought that the general gap is two years but I didn't want to have a summer/ holiday baby, and waiting until winter was too big of a gap... What I failed to realize was that I had TWO of them, not just one, but TWO! So here I am, about half way through the easiest pregnancy I have ever had thinking, "WHAT WAS I DOING?! How am I going to have three kids under two? STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!" Yeah... (Insert apology to Tayv here for if she ever reads this). But yeah. So to say the absolute very least I was feeling a little depressed when "D" day came.

Never the less, we got up at four and made it out the door by four thirty to be at the hospital at five (thanks to my awesome mother-in-law for coming over at 4:30 (AM!!!) and watching my kiddos). Dr. Isbell arrived promptly (thank goodness... A girl can only take so much pregnancy and anticipation you know...) and at 7am they wheeled me into surgery, prepped me and then dug in... Literally... : ) At 7:31 we got to meet Miss Tayv.

Paul's first glimpse response was "Oh she has A LOT of BLACK?! hair." His second comment to the momma dying to see her tangled up baby was, "she has really long toes!" He was so excited. So proud.

(See what he meant, BLACK hair!) Oh! and check out her bald spot. That thing is rivaling Paul's. : )

I got a quick glimpse too, "What? Who does she look like? Not like Brigham OR Bailee!" and then she went to get all of her tests and measurements. She couldn't get her O2 up and so I didn't get to hold her until I was in the recovery room. Everything has gone good this first week.

Auntie Lyndsey
I stayed at the hospital until Sunday afternoon (the soonest they would let me leave) and headed home. My mom kept Brigham and Bailee during the days and Paul took them home for bed at night. It has been nice to be home, I missed my kiddos and just wanted to be back to normal.

We had planned on my mom keeping the kids until Paul could have another day off but i was ready to have them home by Thursday. Everything was feeling good and back to normal.

Then on Saturday i got the flu. BLAH! So i spent the day on my moms couch so she could baby me and my babies.

Anyway, Tayvri has been perfect. She sleeps in her little bouncer, something that Brigham and Bailee never did, so we are very excited.

Here are a few of her newborn pictures:

Tayvri Jo Blakely
Born 7:51am
6lbs 8oz (Tiny right?! I thought she would be an 8lb baby at least...)
20 inches long
Its been hard to figure out who she looks like. All of my babes have had such a different look to them.
Brigham still hasnt held her, but loves to look at her. Bailee will hold her every chance she gets.
