Springish

I have been so excited for this summer because I've been thinking that I would get to kick the kids out back unattended. So when we finally had a warmer day (the 14th) I gave it a shot.

They did really good and they LOVED it! They didn't venture too far from the back porch but hopefully they will get a little more comfortable and a little more adventurish with more outside time.

The Bug

So we there was a stomach bug going around our families and by the 10th of march we had caught it. Brigham was the first lucky one and woke up in the middle of the night throwing up for about four hours. Paul and I sat up with him eating ice chips and watching movies until he finally walked over, picked up is blankie and walked to his bedroom door. He spent four days mostly just throwing up, he has always been good at that, and then a few pretty yucky diapers.

In the first twenty four hours I think we did about ten loads of laundry and still didn't have anything for them to wear. We had to put Brigham in a pair of Bailee's pajamas. He was so offended.

So offended in fact that he went and hid from me when I got the camera out. It was pretty cute.

Bailee was the second lucky one. While Brigham has always been good at throwing up, Bailee has always been good at the other end. She went through outfits a lot faster than Brigham.

One night I just had this feeling that I needed to go check on her. She was standing in the corner very sad, I think she thought she was going to get in trouble. I felt so bad for her.

It took about ten to get back to better. A very LONG ten days.

Frankie

So our furnace broke in February (the third time it has broken down in two years) and we had a company come out to fix it. It cost us almost $200. You'd think that for two hundred dollars it would work right, right?! Well it lasted about two weeks before it was broken again!! A different problem, but still... So we called around and finally found a company that doesn't charge for a service call, and only charged $60 and hour for labor. SWEEEEET!! When Paul called and told me that a guy name Frankie was coming to fix it, I was pretty timid. What guy named Frankie could be a decent honest guy? : ) But he was actually really nice. Brigham and Bailee were very interested in what he was doing.

At first they just sat right next to him and stared. Brigham kept putting his hand right up next to his work bag and thinking about grabbing the tools.

Then they got more brave and sat there and played with them. And then about five mionutes later they started hauling them off to play with them.

I was telling them no, but you know what 18 month olds are like... Anyway, Frankie was pretty cute about it. He handed them the tools to play with and pocketed the ones he needed. He talked to them and was very sweet. I'm pretty sure we will use this company again if the stupid thing breaks down again (!@$#$#@!!).
