Easter 2013

We were so excited for Easter this year. The kids are finally getting to that age that they understand presents and candy, ESPECIALLY candy. So I thought they would have fun.

So after they were asleep we snuck in and decorated their floor with easter eggs and grass. We got up extra early and started breakfast (blue waffles with nuttella and eggs). And then waited for the kids to wake up, usually around 7:30. Yeah... Not this time. We waited and waited and waited and waited!!! I kept thinking Brigham would wake up and say "BALL?" because that is what he calls the easter eggs, but he just wasnt waking up. It was killing me. So finally about 8:15 I couldnt wait any longer and we went in and got them.

They were very excited about the balls and were taking forever to make it out to the living room where their other presents were. Nuggets!

Anyway, they did eventually make it out there. We got them a tunnel to share, and some shoes and an outfit each. And candy... Mostly just dum dum suckers because that is their favorite right now and we new that they would get plenty of candy later in the day.

Showing off their loot.

Bailee LOVED her shoes, Brigham was a little indifferent.

Brigham checking out Bailee's stash.

As you can see, they mostly had suckers for breakfast and ignored their waffles (probably because they were blue) and eggs.

Next was Grandma B and papa's house for the egg hunt. Bailee did really good chasing down the eggs but didn't know to drop them in her bucket. Instead she would drop the one in her hand on the ground and then carry around the next one for a while.

Brigham didnt do as well, as (evidented by the purple egg in this picture that he walked right by...)

The clan and their loot.

And finally we went to Grammy and Pa's house. Apparently I wasnt very good at taking pictures there. But Gramma Great is in Indiana on a mission so Grammy did the candy toss this year. It was a lot of fun and the kids only got hit in the head once or twice. They also had the annual Egg-tied-to-a-fishing-pole-line. Sad to say, but Bailee was the one to fall for it this year.

The cousins bouncing Brigham crazy. He loves it. Bailee wont get near it if anyone but herself is on there, she gets bounced too easily and does NOT like it.

A New Do

It was that time again, so here is Bailee loving to get her hair done. Aunt Jenni did such a good job.

Here is the cut:

Here is the Jaidy girl being so patient while her mom does Bailee's hair.

And here is the do:

She is always so serious hen someone else is doing her hair, but she really does love it!

Here is a grin, and the big ol' poof! Her hair is so thick, it poofed out really well. Good thing Auntie Jenni does it every once in a while because this momma sure doesn't do it.

Brigham got a cut too but was such a stinker about it that I didnt get a chance to take any pictures. Next time we will try him at home where he is more in his element I think.

A Warm Day

Brace yourself, this is a lot of photos. But we finally had a warm day on the 28th of March so we got to outside coat free, and the kids were having so much fun that I couldnt resist putting them all up here.

Brigham kept poking his head through the holes and saying "HIIIiii!!!" or "Cheeeeese!" or "Boooo!" He was being so silly. He definitely loves the camera. Bailee will turn and run and Brigham will give a big huge grin.

This is Paul wondering how the heck to trim Raspberries. We finally got online and looked it up. Turns out knee high is the magic height. : )
